We will try to post our shop hours & information due to inclement weather in these places:
Website: http://www.tangledpurls.com/
Facebook: Tangled Purls
Ravelry: tangledpurls
We will generally close or delay if Salem-Keizer School District closes or delays, but in some cases, we may decide to close even if school is still open, or open late instead of being closed all day. You will find the most up-to-date information on what we are up to if you check online.
Thank you!

Go Green & Gold!
Carol has finished another outstanding shawl! Wouldn't this be striking to wear at a "Ducks" event? Or "Congratulations Packers!" See our class list for upcoming shawl classes.

Quick Gift Idea!
Our Two Hour Hat pattern makes a quick and easy gift. We used Cascade's Lana Grande for our pink one. What color will you choose?
Finished Projects!
Yay! Vivian finally finished "Iced" from knitty.com and the classy necklace / scarf from the Be Sweet African Bead Ball. They were both fun, fast knits!

Just a reminder for those who aren't on Ravelry, the Aran Knitting KAL starts this coming Monday, November 1st. Folks are choosing a design they like from the book, buying the yarn at the shop (we are offering a 10% discount for the KAL supplies), and we will be converting the patterns to be knit in one piece from the top down. Some of the advantages to knitting a sweater this way are being able to try the sweater on as you work to get the fit correct, no seams to sew up after the knitting is done, and the excitement of watching the sweater take shape as you work. Come join the fun and friendship as we work on our projects at our Knit Night on Thursdays . Helen Burros is leading the KAL and can be contacted on as Bluedragon on Ravelry.com or Bluedragon2@aol.com.Thursday, October 28, 2010

We just received some beautiful Shibui Sock yarns and Shibui's baby pattern book. Shibui is a local Portland yarn company. Very cute!
This single Shibui pattern is adorable!

Autumn Display!
I love the new autumn display in the shop! It was created by our newest employee, Heather. Heather recently moved to Salem from Chicago and works at the shop Tuesdays and Wednesdays mid-day. Stop by and welcome her to Salem and Tangled Purls!
