Warm Fuzzies

Helping people is heartwarming.
We want you to know about some special activities we do
and invite you to join us in them!
We're a dropoff site for school supplies for needy children.
We're collecting pencils, erasers, paper, backpacks--
just about anything a kid needs for school.
Please help us fill the collection box!

Our family of customers knits and crochets tiny hats for Calvin's Hats,
a charity that connects with couples who have lost a baby before it's born.
The hats are easy to make and couples who receive them are deeply touched.
We have yarn that's been donated for making new hats, if you'd like to lend a hand.

Beautiful Baskets!

New at Tangled Purls! Beautiful Bolga Baskets hand-woven in the historic town of Bolgatanga, Ghana in West Africa. The weavers of our Bolga Baskets are mostly farm families who supplement their unpredictable crop income by weaving and selling these handcrafted works of art. They make great knitting baskets, as well as a green alternative to shopping bags.

Sold through a farmer in Oregon, the weavers set their own prices. All baskets are made from elephant grass, dyed with plant pigments and finished with goat handles.
